Database design

DAYDABASE operates a MySQL database and can be used to fully control all basic features of this database.

In DAYDABASE, MySQL tables and columns are each described in special tables describing their respective properties.

MySQL column types (char, varchar, text, int, float etc.) are translated and extended to field types, which characterize the data that a column is supposed to contain.

The interdependencies between data from different tables are defined by cross references.

In this documentation, MySQL columns and 'fields', as well as MySQL datasets, table rows and objects are used as synonyms.
