In this documentation, the terms 'MySQL columns' and 'fields' are used as synonyms.

The column properties that can be modified through the interface are:

  • the column textual id (ID)
  • the column table (Table)
  • the column field type (Type)
  • a descriptive title of the column (Title)
  • a text documenting the column (Documentation)
  • database properties: DBName, DBSize, DBKey, DBCollation, DBNull, DBExtra, DBDefault
  • properties controlling possible values: Valid, RegexDesc, Options, CrossRefID, AllowEmptyField
  • properties controlling display: Order, Index, Template, HiddenField, Display, Search, CSSClass
  • properties controlling the role of the column in the table: UniqueField, DescriptorField, FollowDelete
